Backlinks: Quality vs Quantity
This is my fiirst post here on dave2point0.com and as a guy that’s just started out on my MMO experience I must say that have learned an awful lot in the last few weeks. Starting this blog is mostly about helping out those that are helping me. Mostly the guys that are mentioned in my blogroll over ther in the sidebar.
The main person that I am learning from is a guy called Vic from Blogger Unleashed. If you haven’t tried his blog yet then get over there pronto. I am also getting some invaluable help from Justin at Blogging Zombie. That guy is a technical genius and has helped me no end with the technical aspects of alot of what Im trying to achieve.
Another blogger that has put out reams and reams of free, yes free, information is Courtney Tuttle on his blog Court’s Internet Marketing School. It’s just about the best SEO read out there. It’s jammers with good solid info. Seriously.
The guest post there today talks about backlinks and in particular the ‘quantity vs quality’ debate. The reason I wanted to mention this was not necessarily the post but the comments. Reading what some of the big wigs have to say is just mind blowing. It just goes to show what a minefield SEO is, and how hard it can be. However, from a newbies’ point of view I think what Vic says is good advice ‘GET THE LINKS’….and worry about qualjty when you know more about SEO.
I’ve a long way to go…it’s gonna be a ride, that’s for sure.
